Do I need to contact my insurance company or can you do that for me?
Most insurance companies use nationwide glass billing services to handle their auto glass claims. We are set up to deal directly with these companies. Some of the billing services require talking directly with the insured rather than the glass shop to obtain claim information. In those instances, we can assist you in conference calling to assure that your claim is set up properly.
Do you come to my home or work to do replacements or repairs?
We provide mobile service if weather permits, however in extreme weather conditions it is not possible to do repairs or replacements outside. Temperature and precipitation dictate whether a proper installation can be provided outside . Toalson Glass always adheres strictly to the standards set by the National Glass Association. We provide pick up and delivery, rides to and from work or home, and a loaner vehicle when weather affects mobile installations.
What is the size of a chip in my windshield that can be repaired?
Generally, if you can place a silver dollar coin on top of the chip and it covers, the chip can be repaired. If there is a crack in your windshield, it is a good idea to bring the vehicle by for a technician to assess if it is repairable or needs replacement.
Will my chip be invisible after it is repaired?
Damage will not disappear 100% when a chip is repaired, however it will become less noticeable and the opportunity for the glass to crack further will be greatly reduced. The actual impact point where the glass is missing will still be visible. The repair process actually fills in the cracks with resin and stops them from spreading further.
What is your guarantee if I have my windshield replaced?
All replacements are guaranteed against leakage or any installation problem for as long as you own your vehicle.
